The Skolt Saami Cultural Foundation awarded scholarships as a thank you and encouragement to Skolt Saami students in spring 2025

In spring 2025, the Skolt Saami Cultural Foundation awarded scholarships from its scholarship fund as a thank you and encouragement to all Skolt Saami students who studied Skolt Saami in primary education, those who studied Skolt Saami as their mother tongue in primary education, and graduates of upper secondary schools and vocational schools who have studied the Skolt Saami language during their studies. In addition, special scholarships were awarded to primary school students who have been particularly motivated and enthusiastic in their Skolt Saami studies or have shown very active and motivated use of the language both at school and possibly in their free time and hobbies. This year, scholarships were awarded to a total of 61 pupils or students.

The Skolt Saami Cultural Foundation thanks Skolt Saami students and teachers for their contribution to the Skolt Saami language and culture and congratulates those who have completed their comprehensive school and those who have graduated from school!
